I grew up in Lansing, Michigan, and I currently live in Cazenovia, New York, with my wife, Emily, and our son, Sam. For those who are interested, these are some of my favorite things to do when I'm not studying and teaching political theory:
- Hiking and camping in the Adirondacks, or (better yet) the Southern Alps, where the photo above was taken in February 2024
- Playing tennis, shooting hoops with Sam, and hanging out at Caz Lake in the summer
- Cross-country skiing at Highland Forest in the winter (my absolute favorite activity of any kind)
- Rooting for Michigan State and the Boston Celtics
